PHOENIX, AZ — Abp. Elpidophoros of America arrived in Phoenix on February 3 to attend the 35th Annual Leadership 100 Conference, a major gathering supporting ministries of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.
The Archbishop was welcomed upon arrival by Metr. Gerasimos of San Francisco, along with Demetrios Logothetis, Chairman of Leadership 100, and Paulette Poulos, Executive Director of the organization. Also present were James Anderson, Director of Sales and Marketing for the JW Marriott Desert Ridge, and Peter Pihl, Senior Event Manager for the hotel hosting the conference.
Leadership 100 brings together clergy and lay leaders from across the country to strengthen philanthropic support for Orthodox institutions and ministries. The annual conference serves as a forum for collaboration, strategic planning, and spiritual renewal among its members.
The conference formally opens on February 4 and will conclude on Sunday with the celebration of the Divine Liturgy at Holy Trinity Cathedral in Phoenix.
Previously, the UOJ reported that Abp. Epidophoros called churches to embrace diversity.
